Hoodia Not For Pregnant Women

Hoodia is being touted as the dieting miracle of the century, but there have not been any studies to determine if there is an adverse affect on pregnant women, women who are about to get pregnant, or nursing mothers. Dieting during pregnancy, unless under doctor’s orders and medical supervision, seems a risky proposition to begin with. Taking diet supplements during pregnancy, even if there is no evidence that they have harmful short term effects, like Hoodia, should probably be avoided entirely.

Heart Attack Aspirin Therapy Not Provided For Cancer Patients

Many cancer patients who have heart attacks often are not treated with life saving aspirin given the belief in the medical community that they could experience lethal bleeding. Researchers at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, however, say that notion is now proven wrong and that without aspirin, the majority of these patients will die.
