Any self-propelled vehicle, primarily designed for the transportation of persons or property over the public highways, that was leased, purchased or registered. Applies only to the chassis portion of motor homes. Does not include motorcycles or trucks with 10,000 pounds or more GVW. 1 repair attempt in the braking or steering system or 3 repair attempts or 30 calendar days out of service for other problems. 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Georgia Consumer Affair Lemon Law Complaint Process


The Georgia Lemon Law (O.C.G.A. Section 10-1-780, et seq.) covers new motor vehicles, light trucks, and the self-propelled portion of recreational vehicles. If you have a vehicle that (i) falls into one of these categories, (ii) has a substantial defect that was reported to the dealer or manufacturer within the first year or 12,000 miles of operation of the vehicle, whichever occurs first, and (iii) you are unable to resolve the issue, then you should contact the Governorís Office of Consumer Affairs.
